Nicole Francis
Nicole Francis has been dancing since the age of 3. She won 2 scholarships to the National Ballet of Canada, one at the age of 8 and again at the age of 12. She has had over 20 years of dance training, (mainly in ballet, Vaganova method) and over 30 years of being closely involved in dance. Her repertoire of dance includes Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern and Hip Hop.
In 1989, her dance training led her to a role in the Canadian Film ‘Divided Loyalties’. She is a certified personal trainer and has been a competitive fitness athlete. Her dance training also helped her win World Natural Sports Fitness Titles in 1999 and 2000 with the World Natural Sports Organization (WNSO). She has experience in fitness modelling and bodybuilding competitions, and has also adjudicated competitions for the Ontario Physique Association (OPA).
Due to her eye for talent and her attention to detail, she was invited to be a guest Judge, adjudicating the 2004 Miss Ontario Pageant. She has attended seminars in dance at York University, National Ballet of Canada and trained with Dancers from the Alvin Ailey Dance Company.
She now devotes most of her time to a career in the healthcare and disability management field, working with the severely disabled.
She takes pride in teaching at Jazz be Nimble where she continues to share her passion for dance and fitness.
