Alisa Faerman
Alisa began her dance journey at the age of six, developing a passion for the art that has continued to grow throughout the years. She began competing at the age of eight and has since dedicated over 12 years to training, performing, and expanding her experience within the dance community.
Alisa was accepted into the Westmount dance program, where she had the opportunity to further develop her technique and artistry while performing in numerous shows and events. Throughout her dance journey, she has received the Dance Merit Award in recognition of her dedication and accomplishments. She has also been awarded multiple scholarships at dance conventions, where she had the opportunity to train with various choreographers, explore different styles, and further deepen her knowledge and passion for dance. After her time in the dance program, Alisa transferred high schools to pursue an Advanced Placement (AP) program while continuing to develop her passion for dance outside the classroom.
With experience spanning a diverse range of styles, including jazz, hip hop, contemporary, ballet, tap, lyrical, and musical theatre, Alisa brings a well-rounded understanding of dance, creativity, and performance into her teaching. In addition to this, she contributes to the studio’s social media presence by managing and creating content for the Jazz Be Nimble Instagram page.
Alisa is currently attending the University of Toronto’s Rotman Commerce program, where she plans to specialize in accounting. She is excited to continue sharing her passion for dance with her students, encouraging them to develop their technique, confidence, and creativity. She looks forward to bringing her experience, enthusiasm, and love for dance into the studio while inspiring young dancers to grow and discover their own passion for the art.
