Sarah Goncalves

Sarah Goncalves was born in Georgetown, Ontario, and has always had an unwavering passion for dancing. Her journey began at the tender age of three, and since then, she has dedicated herself to mastering the art of dance. She has trained in Jazz, Acrobatics, Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Musical Theatre. With over 17 years of experience, she is now channelling her dedication into pursuing a degree in dance.

Sarah is currently enrolled at York University in the Dance BFA program, specialising in choreography and performance. She has studied dance kinesiology, human anatomy, dance history, multiple dance forms, and choreography and performance practices. 

 She has also received certification from the Performing Arts Educators of Canada in the Dance Teacher Training Affiliate Program and is currently an affiliate member of the association. 

Sarah is also a dedicated member to Canada’s national dance team. She performed at the International Dance Organisation World Championships in 2023. She competed in Belgium and represented Team Canada with well-known, experienced choreographers and dancers.

At Jazz Be Nimble, Sarah focuses not only on sharing her passion and knowledge of dance but also on nurturing and guiding every student. As a mentor, she provides a supportive environment where students can grow and learn, fostering a sense of potential and opportunity.
